The location of the hotel is superb. It is close to many good local restaurants, pizzerias, shops and cafes. It is located in the most typical Neopolitan neighborhood. Having a computer in the room, with Internet, was an added bonus.
On Booked.net, the room that we chose was advertised as having a jacuzzi, however when we checked in, we found out that only 2 of the 6 "superior double" rooms have a jacuzzi, which was a bit disappointing. Breakfast was basic and not varied, no fresh fruit ever and not even yogurt some days. The hotel staff was friendly when approached (cleaning and breakfast staff) but the staff at the desk hardly even spoke a single word to us when we entered and left the hotel during our stay. We were cold the first night and requested more blankets and pillows, which was not understood by the staff and only pillows were provided. The heating system must be manually turned on and off using a remote (the same as the air conditioning) which was annoying.
Comfortable, internet available, airco
The beds for the children in the familyroom weren't of a good quality. The information about the associated restaurant wasn't correct (e.g. 10 % discount)
Hotel Neapolis is located at the very centre of the city and just round the corner you can find Pizzeria SORBILLO where you can taste the best pizza in the world (really!). The room was clean, nice, large enough and the Internet for free were very comfortable so we were very surprised that the price for one double room was only 65 EUR. Also the breakfast was good.
We had only one problem and that was with bed. The sheets were very clean but the matress had a strange shape so we couldn't sleep on it because during all night we were constantly sliding off.
This inexpensive hotel in the heart of old Naples, near the Archaeological Museum and the underground Greco-Roman ruins, is clean, safe, pleasant, and attractively decorated, next to a beautiful Romanesque campanile. The entrance is a bit odd: it's on the third floor of an old palazzo, next to a restaurant, through a metal gate and a little parking place and up a staircase or an elevator. But inside it's modern and reasssuring. The people are mostly sweet and helpful. The neigh-borhood is like what you see in photos of Naples - full of life and crazy contrasts. I'd certainly go back.
The internet is supposed to be available free in the rooms, but this was not working. The charming young woman at the desk let me use her computer for a while.
Apartement room with jacuzzi for price of normal doubleroom + location
Ideal location for old town Napoli. Some off-street parking, which is useful even if you're just being dropped off. Air conditioning means you can close windows and sleep on hot nights. Functional and well-stocked minibar usable also in part as fridge. Big room with couch and desk. Helpful, though sometimes abrupt, staff with good working English.
Hardest beds I've run across over a lot of hotels. Tepid shower one day of the 5 we were there, others ok though little water pressure. Cleaning is ok, not fastidious.
Excellent location!!!; Room had balcony with nice view; computer with free internet in bedroom!; Good breakfast
Uncomfortable bed; very small shower stall
The room was cold, the toilet was leaking, internet wasn't working and the staff made a minimum effort to help but really couldn't care.
